Mika Singh

Mika Singh is a Punjabi rapper and pop artist, who catapulted to fame with his infectious energy in the chart-topping song ‘Sawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag’ that became an instant success in 1998.

Mika's fusion of Punjabi folk with contemporary beats and rap elements has earned him a unique spot in the pop music landscape. His tracks, often known for their foot-tapping tunes and catchy lyrics, became instant favourites among listeners.

After the success of ‘Sawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag’, his debut album, he has since released several hit albums, including ‘Something Something’, ‘Gabru’, ‘Dunali’, and ‘Ishq Brandy’. As a playback singer, he has belted out hit numbers like Jumme Ki Raat (Kick) and Mauja Hi Mauja (Jab We Met).

He played Balwinder Singh in the musical comedy ‘Balwinder Singh...Famous Ho Gaya’ . He also turned composer for the film ‘Housefull 3’ in 2016.

Mika appeared on Sky1's dance competition show, ‘Got to Dance’, in 2014, and performed live and sold out in Bollywood Showstoppers at The O2 Arena with Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shahid Kapoor, and Ali Zafar. He also performed in front of an audience of 80,000 people at Danny Singh's Sandwell & Birmingham Mela in Birmingham, the UK in 2016.
